I am guessing the beautiful carving of the goddess on the pillar is that of Saraswati, just because of the two lotus flowers on top. I may be wrong. Love these photos. And how cool is that bell?

Jaya, you may be right. I have no clue and would love to know more about her. There's something very therapeutic and calming about tolling that bell as soon as you enter the inner sanctum. It's like taking a fast train to that quiet zone in my mind!
